The journey so far.

The story, the lessons, the pivot points.

My most important year of High School was the one in which I wasnt in school. I attended a regular high school for 9th and 10th (almost skipped them too lol) grade while doing my work. But I decided to drop out for a year to build my hardware startup full-time. I was also pursued an open curriculum in senior grade Physics and Maths. I rejoined school as an 11th grader in 2026.

That year outside the classroom changed my trajectory completely. I learned things I might have not learned sitting in class — how to source components in Delhi's chaotic markets, how to debug a PCB at midnight, how to pitch to VCs who've seen it all, and how to keep going when nothing works.

“Every moonshot project starts with a PVC prototype. The best engineering begins with curiosity.”

I built my first serious engineering project — a 10-foot industrial scrubber — at age 14 with a team of 5 under CEEW mentorship. That project became the second-largest engineering build in my school's history and laid the foundation for everything that followed.

Today, I'm building PraaNavya — India's first bio-based air filtration platform — with a published patent, school pilots protecting 300+ students, and a clear mission: to build globally scalable climate technologies through engineering research and entrepreneurship.

PraaNavya Climate Tech

India's first bio-based air filtration platform — sustainable alternatives to disposable HEPA filters.

Founder & CEO · 2024–Present

Bio-based air filtration for a cleaner future.

Building scalable bio-based nanofiber air filtration technologies to reduce dependence on conventional HEPA filters through sustainable materials engineering and real-world deployment. One core filtration platform, adapted across multiple sectors.

The problem

Delhi's air pollution crisis — schools closing, health impacts, 300+ students affected. Current solutions (Dyson, Philips, etc.) are expensive, generate massive plastic waste, and are inaccessible to most. HEPA filters are single-use, petroleum-based, and environmentally costly.

How PraaNavya is different

A 5-stage bio-based filtration stack — triboelectric wool, electrostatic cotton, activated charcoal, polyester, PLA bio-polymer — achieving 99.7% PM2.5/PM10 reduction with ~80% less plastic waste than conventional HEPA filters.

  • 5-stage filtration — multi-layer bio-based media
  • ₹5,000 purifier — with ₹800 biodegradable replacement filters
  • 5 application domains — consumer, HVAC, industrial, automotive, respiratory
  • Flutter BLE companion app — with AI-powered purifier placement
  • Published Indian patent — co-inventor, 2025

Engineering process

3 prototype generations, 5 distinct filtration configurations, 15+ experiments, 300+ engineering hours. Iterated on sealing, mounting, aesthetics, and fan configuration across multiple builds. Validated through controlled particulate testing, airflow optimization, and filtration performance analysis.

Real-world deployment

Currently piloting across 2 schools, 5 classrooms — serving 300+ students. Measured ~40% lower PM levels in-situ. School pilots demonstrate tangible impact: cleaner air, healthier students, validated technology.

Recognition & ecosystem

Backed by Antler India, Masters' Union, ThinkStartup. Shark Tank India S5 Stage 2 (120,000+ applicants). Masters' Union Elevator Pitch — youngest finalist & winner. Pitched to 30+ stakeholders including VC firms, IITD, Ministry of Environment, Government of Delhi.

Inside The Technology

Our patent-pending 5-stage filtration system eliminates 99.9% of pollutants without creating harmful ozone.

July 2025

Why I turned down ₹1 Crore

The offer was real. The number was real. But the misalignment in vision — what PraaNavya is, who it's for, and where I want to take it — made the math not add up. [Replace this with your actual reasoning. What did you weigh? What did the conversation feel like? What would you tell your 14-year-old self who would've been floored by that number?]

Entrepreneurship
November 2024

What a gap year actually teaches you

Not freedom. Accountability. When no one is making you show up, you learn whether you actually want to. [Replace with your real reflection on the year out — the hard days, the breakthroughs, what you'd do differently, what you wouldn't trade.]

Building
March 2023

Building a 10-foot scrubber at 14: what I got wrong first

The first design failed. The second design failed differently. That's when I realised iteration isn't just a process — it's the product. [Replace with the Shield story in your voice — what broke, who helped, what the CEEW fellows taught you.]

Hardware
Ongoing

The tools I used and what they taught me
